Temat postu: Avoiding A Weak Postcard Campaign
By : Chelsea Nicole Manheaven
Submitted 2011-02-18 08:09:21 Despite the cost effectiveness and ease of use of postcards, there are still problems that business owners have to face. These are the problems that instead of making your marketing campaign easy and quick, you end up wasting a lot of money and coming up with a weak campaign. Two of these problems are too much dependence on technology and providing feeble offers. Some business owners may not know it but they are actually experiencing one or both these problems.
Too much dependence on technology. As a business owner, you need to realize that success does not depend alone on technology alone. If that was the case, then many businesses would have enjoyed record-breaking responses from their postcards. But obviously its not that easy to generate response.
Although technology is the most clear-cut way to carry out a postcard campaign, theres a catch. Technology can help you communicate your message, but it cannot create the message for you. That is something only you can do. Your prospects are not likely to say that although they did not understand your message, they are still going to pick up the phone and call you. Keep in mind that people these days are picky. If they dont know what a product or service can do to them, they wont bother wasting their time reading the marketing material.
Its great that technology made our life better, but too much dependence on it can have consequences. It still helps to do some things the old way if that would ensure the success of your endeavor.
Providing feeble offers. "Call us today to learn more and get a free sample." Sounds familiar, right? Well, its likely that you have heard and read this line over and over again. Why wouldnt it be, almost all businesses today are using this line. Offering something free is now an overused strategy.
Lets say what you are offering is a free information. Its likely that the free information you are offering your prospects can already be found on the internet. Its practically easy to find information these days. This may affect your offer and cost you your prospects.
So, whats the best thing you can do? Be different. Your card must set your business apart from your competition. From the design to the message, your postcard printing has to be unique and effective.
Once you are able to overcome these two problems, it does help to consistently send your cards. Repetition, after all, helps you stay in front of your customers. But remember that mere repeat mailings will not work. It is important that what you send are effective mailings,

, those that work with your prospects.
It is important that before you create materials or do anything else in your marketing campaign, you have to focus first on creating a response-oriented card. When the cards you have sent were able to generate leads and sales, then send it again. You can do changes on it to make it more effective, if needed. But remember never to send again post cards that failed before. You dont stand a chance to gain on those cards, so might as well leave them and create new cards. But this time make sure that you incorporate the right design and message that will appeal best to your prospects.
