Temat postu: Medical Negligence Claim Supported by MP
It has been a very difficult time for all of us. Local health board chief executive Jan Williams commented: The board has co-operated fully with Mr Wilson and his family on this matter and I can confirm that all the information and records we hold have been provided as requested. In addition, information has also been made available through the office of the Information Commissioner,

, who conducted an independent review on this case. I am confident that health board staff delivered efficient and compassionate care to the patient before, during and after treatment.
The case is made even more shocking by the fact that when she went in for the operation at Cardiffs University Hospital of Wales,

Sadly she is now housebound and dependant on the care of her parents, who live near Bridgend. Support for politicians Her family fear that if they are not able to access their daughters medical records, then they will stop them from making a clinical negligence claim by the appointed deadline.
It has been revealed that a 21-year-olds fight for medical negligence compensation has been supported by a Welsh MP. The female filed the claim after she felt her life had been ruined by an apparent successful operation five years ago.
However,

, as time went by, her health started to deteriorate. She is now urging hospital chiefs to release details of her case. The woman, from Wales, was 16 when she had an operation to remove a tumour from one of her kidneys. However, her family claims her life has been tainted ever since the surgery.
Therefore, her case has now been taken up by her MP, Huw Irranca Davies, who is backing the familys demand to see all of the documents relating to her case, including details of blood tests and a blood transfusion she received. Ogmore MP Mr Irranca-Davies, who is an Environment Minister in the UK Government, stated: I have been involved with [the claimant] and her family for three going on four years and in all that time the physical and mental trauma for her is clearly an immense tragedy.
She was a bright young girl studying for her A-levels who now cannot realistically plan for a future without depending on her mother and father. He added: All were asking the local health board to do is to deliver justice for [the victim] and her family.
All they need to do is be open and transparent its what we would expect as a bare minimum from any health professionals who have the interests of patients firmly at heart. I therefore ask the chief executive directly to expedite this promptly before, quite frankly, the time runs out for [her]. Mr Wilson, a process technician, said: We have until March to start this case, but cant do so until we have access to the information we have been seeking for years.
